One of the most important communication skills is the ability to give and receive feedback effectively. It is also one of the most challenging. Feedback is essential for learning and continuous improvement and can help to motivate and build good relationships depending on how it is conveyed. This course will help participants present their ideas more effectively to others while also becoming a better receiver of feedback - even feedback that is presented awkwardly. Through hands-on, interactive exercises, participants will practice turning feedback sessions into tools that can help them improve their job performance and meet important goals.

What Participants Will Learn
  • Recognize opportunities to provide feedback to others
  • Identify and reduce barriers to giving effective feedback
  • Avoid defensiveness by applying the principles of supportive communication
  • Apply characteristics of effective feedback
  • Adapt your communication style to the needs of the feedback situation
  • Manage difficult feedback situations
