Many talent development professionals have discovered that they need to add coaching to their skill set. Performance coaching can be described as a series of guided conversations that enable the “coachee” to discover and implement personal solutions to challenging issues or areas of performance. These solutions, because they are intrinsic to the “coachee,” are more likely to succeed and endure than solutions imposed externally. This course will focus on the techniques needed to help close the gap between expected performance and actual results. Participants will gain a basic understanding of what drives their employees, build connections between each person’s work and the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
