Admissions & Requirements

  • Complete the Graduate School Admission Application.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a university accredited by a US Department of Education-recognized institutional accreditor.
  • All previous work beyond high school documenting an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale).
  • Copies of unofficial transcripts from all academic coursework beyond high school.
  • Statement of purpose indicating reasons for seeking the graduate certificate.
  • A clear criminal background check, which will be requested after application submission.
Courses

The Graduate Certificate Program in Autism Spectrum Disorder requires a 12-semester hour sequence of courses. ASD courses are offered during the fall and spring terms and are delivered 100% online.  A new course sequence begins each fall. Students must earn grades of “B” or above in each of the courses.

  • SPED 5200: Concepts and Principles in Behavior Analysis (3)
  • SPED 6225: Behavior Analytic Intervention in Communication (3)
  • SPED 6335: Evidence-Based Practices for Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (3)
