Program Tabs

Program

The Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education is for educators who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Elementary Education at UNC Charlotte.  Students can complete the 3 additional courses (9 hours) to complete the master’s degree program in an online format.

Qualified candidates who have completed Phase I may apply to continue into Phase II to complete the remaining requirements for the master’s degree and qualify for the advanced Standard Professional II teaching license.

The program provides a collaborative network between faculty, peers, and clinical educators to develop deep understandings of content and teaching practices.  The program supports residency teachers in North Carolina school districts who must enroll in a teacher preparation program while teaching as well as those not currently teaching who want to pursue a career in the field.

The program is 100% online and designed to be flexible for working professionals hoping to continue their education.
