Originally hired to manage State Authorization issues for the University–which he still does–Steve’s role has constantly morphed with “other duties as assigned.” Today, his official title is Associate Director, Strategy Implementation & Reporting, but he also serves as the University’s State Authorization Manager/SARA Liaison and leads its Out-of-State Academic Activity Coordinating Council (OoSAACC).
Steve brings emphases on compliance, data and reporting, and process improvement to the School of Professional Studies.

Steve has earned a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude in Christian Studies from Alderson-Broaddus College, a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Master of Science in Educational Psychology & Research (adult education concentration) from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, and professional certificates in Process Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, and Design Thinking from the UNC Charlotte School of Professional Studies.
