Samantha Abt-Bumgarner is an experienced higher education administrator with over 20 years of expertise in program development, instructional design, and educational leadership. As the Director of Program Management at UNC Charlotte’s School of Professional Studies, she leads a high-performing team to ensure the quality, growth, and success of a diverse program portfolio. Samantha excels in transitioning in-person programs to engaging online and hybrid formats, driving strategic planning, curriculum design, and program evaluation.

With a background in marketing, communications, and career coaching, she bridges the gap between education and professional advancement. Holding a Master’s in English Literature and a B.A. in English from Appalachian State University, Samantha is passionate about fostering collaboration, innovation, and success for learners, teams, and institutions alike.
