Karri began her career at UNC Charlotte in 2002 as a career advisor and marketing director with the University Career Center before joining UNC Charlotte Continuing Education as a Program Director for noncredit professional certificates and, later on, the Camps on Campus youth program. She held that position for over 11 years and was selected as the Associate Director of Program Management for the new School of Professional Studies (SPS) in 2020. Karri leads the Program Management Team for SPS which is comprised of 8 Program Directors and Program Managers from Continuing Education, Distance Education, Summer Term, and Youth Programs. The Program Management team serves as a communication and strategic hub within SPS for program quality, enrollment growth and strategy, course development, and student success and cultivates collaborative relationships with faculty, community and corporate partners, and students. Karri earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication and her Master of Arts in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University and completed doctoral coursework in Curriculum and Teaching from UNC Greensboro. She earned a Certificate in Independent Applying the QM Rubric (5th Ed.) and is a Certified Practitioner of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and the Strong Interest Inventory.
