My name is Kory Kebea (nee Rice) and I have been with UNC Charlotte for ten years as a student and employee. I started in 2012 getting my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and working as a student worker in the Controller's office. My first full-time position was with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Criminal Justice program. Charlotte holds a special place in my heart because this is also where I met my husband. We have 4 cats and a son named Maddox. I am excited to work with all of you!

Louise joined the School of Professional Studies in 2019 after serving many years as the online-learning advisor and lab facilitator at a large public high school in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School district.

Yvonne Billings

Yvonne joined UNC Charlotte’s School of Professional Studies in 2004. Her past positions include Administrative Assistant and Bookkeeper for the Consortium of Distance Learning in New Jersey for 33 colleges in Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. She has over 30 years of service in higher education and what makes her most proud of her work is the student success through the programs - allowing all students to thrive and reach their educational goals.

Michael has dedicated his career to higher education and the pursuit of helping others achieve their goals and improve their lives. He was most recently Director of Non-Traditional Programs at Belmont Abbey College where he specialized in digital learning and the non-traditional market.

Brian Recoma

Brian Recoma currently serves as the marketing specialist for UNC Charlotte School of Professional Studies. Prior to his role with UNC Charlotte, Brian worked with a number of sports properties in the Charlotte area focusing on creating marketing campaigns and soliciting corporate partnerships.

Chris is a graduate of the College of Charleston, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Communication. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, he worked for ten years as the Marketing and Media Relations Manager for the Lowcountry Graduate Center and the College of Charleston’s School of Professional Studies.

Elisabeth Thornton specializes in the written word and has spent more than two decades studying the art of content creation and its effect on audience. Her past positions include roles as both journalist and marketer.

Franziska Vauth

Franziska joined the Marketing and Communications team as Marketing Technology Manager in 2023. With an international background, a German BA in Linguistics & Translating and a British MSc in Marketing, she has worked in different Digital Marketing roles abroad. While she specializes in website management, integrating digital channels in the best way possible is her main goal.

Karri began her career at UNC Charlotte in 2002 as a career advisor and marketing director with the University Career Center before joining UNC Charlotte Continuing Education as a Program Director for noncredit professional certificates and, later on, the Camps on Campus youth program.

Janeene Humphrey

Janeene Humphrey is a program director with over 15 years of experience managing non credit certificate programs. She has a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Juris Doctor in Law from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her affinity for education is derived from the ability to invoke change and success in her students' lives.
