A catalyst for change and intrapreneur, Shanna leads the strategy for product and policy development to ensure accessible pathways for all post-secondary learners served by the School of Professional Studies. A first-generation college student and Georgia native, Shanna has earned degrees from Appalachian State University, NC State, and UNC Charlotte and has served the Charlotte community since 2008.

Originally hired to manage State Authorization issues for the University--which he still does--Steve's role has constantly morphed with "other duties as assigned." Today, his official title is Associate Director, Strategy Implementation & Reporting, but he also serves as the University’s State Authorization Manager/SARA Liaison and leads its Out-of-State Academic Activity Coordinating Council (OoSAACC).

Jeff brings expertise in organizational consulting, leadership development, and leader and team coaching to his role leading the School of Professional Studies’ executive education and talent pathways initiatives. He develops partnerships with Charlotte-region organizations to fill the talent pipeline with qualified students and graduates, and upskill and reskill the workforce to take on emerging business needs.

Asher Haines is UNC Charlotte’s associate provost of the School of Professional Studies. In this role, he directs the School and leads the University’s strategies related to supporting learners of all ages, partnering with companies and organizations to develop their employees through education and training, and collaborating with the University’s academic colleges to develop and deliver programs for adult learners while also supporting overall excellence in teaching and learning for the University.

Melody joined UNC Charlotte in September 2019 as the Department Coordinator for the BISOM department and Turner School of Accountancy within the Belk College of Business. In 2022 she joined the School of Professional Studies as Executive Assistant to the Associate Provost.

Steven Skelton currently serves as the Director of Learning Space Technology at UNC Charlotte. In this role, he manages the AV Integration and Classroom Support Teams for the University, as well as leading efforts to improve and maintain learning space operations on campus. His team provides daily support for over 475 learning spaces and works with University departments and Facilities Management to install new AV systems to support construction and renovation projects.

Brandon Johnson is the Manager of Classroom Technology and Support Services at UNC Charlotte. Since joining SPS as a Technology Support Technician in 2019, Brandon has ensured that our University learning spaces are maintained for an optimal learning experience. With a background in live events and meeting space support, Brandon brings a wealth of technical expertise and a strong customer service focus. He's dedicated to offering assistance in any way possible, driven by his passion to enhance educational experiences for everyone.

Nathan has been affiliated with UNC Charlotte since his freshman year in 2018. After graduating in 2021 with a BA in Political Science and Communication Studies, he joined Classroom Support as a temp employee, having ran professional audiovisual conferences and receptions throughout high school and undergrad. He has been a permanent employee since 2022, and is pursuing graduate-level education with Charlotte's MPA program. He enjoys coffee, building computers, and watching Newcastle United.

Chris was born and raised in Charlotte, NC just minutes from UNC Charlotte. With a degree in Audio Engineering, he brings 20 plus years of experience to the team and is excited to be learning new things daily. Chris is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.
