  • Bridging process, communication, and information gaps between SPS teams
  • Supporting data-informed decision-making at all levels of SPS

Shanna Coles

A catalyst for change and intrapreneur, Shanna leads the strategy for product and policy development to ensure accessible pathways for all post-secondary learners served by the School of Professional Studies. A first-generation college student and Georgia native, Shanna has earned degrees from Appalachian State University, NC State, and UNC Charlotte and has served the Charlotte community since 2008.

Steve Carter

Originally hired to manage State Authorization issues for the University--which he still does--Steve's role has constantly morphed with "other duties as assigned." Today, his official title is Associate Director, Strategy Implementation & Reporting, but he also serves as the University’s State Authorization Manager/SARA Liaison and leads its Out-of-State Academic Activity Coordinating Council (OoSAACC).

Jeffrey Jones

Jeff brings expertise in organizational consulting, leadership development, and leader and team coaching to his role leading the School of Professional Studies’ executive education and talent pathways initiatives. He develops partnerships with Charlotte-region organizations to fill the talent pipeline with qualified students and graduates, and upskill and reskill the workforce to take on emerging business needs.
