The Anne Spychala Scholarship helps individuals pursue new career opportunities and strengthen their professional potential through select UNC Charlotte professional certificate programs.
Scholarship support is available to eligible students enrolled in participating certificate programs. Applicants must be enrolled in the full certificate program at the time they apply for the scholarship.

Anne Spychala Scholarship awards will be available for students enrolled in the following UNC Charlotte certificate programs for Spring 2027:
Paralegal Certificate Program
Build the practical legal knowledge and skills needed to pursue opportunities in law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies and other legal settings.
At a Glance
- Two recipients will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied toward the cost of the January 2027 Paralegal Certificate program.

Meeting and Event Planning Certificate Program
Develop the skills to plan and manage professional meetings, conferences, special events and other experiences from concept through execution.

Medical Coding Specialist Certificate Program
Prepare for opportunities in medical coding by developing the knowledge and skills needed to accurately translate healthcare services and diagnoses into standardized medical codes.

- Two recipients will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to be applied toward the cost of the March 2027 Medical Coding Specialist Certificate program.
