SPS hosted Institute of Emerging Leaders in Online Learning

In August 2023, the UNC Charlotte School of Professional Studies hosted online learning leaders from over 50 different institutions from around the United States for the Online Learning Consortium’s Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning.

IELOL is the longest-running leadership development program for online learning leaders nationwide. Only one university is selected to host every two years. As IELOL host for 2023-2024, Charlotte joins the ranks of other leading institutions in online learning such as Arizona State, University of Central Florida, Penn State, and Washington State. Paired with numerous awards in the online learning space, Charlotte is known in the online learning industry and Online Learning Consortium community for its innovation, excellence, and unwavering commitment to quality and student experience.

The hosting of IELOL adds to Charlotte’s strong reputation in the online learning community, where the staff of the School of Professional Studies are sought after for consultations, speaking engagements, and collaboration. Their expertise continues to shape the landscape of online education, both locally and nationally.
